Associate Professor Frances DarkDirector
Associate Professor Frances Dark has been a psychiatrist working at the Princess Alexandra Hospital for over 30 years. She is Director of Rehabilitation services, Metro South Mental Health Service. In this role Associate Professor Dark has contributed to the establishment of three community care units (residential rehabilitation services). Two of these services have integrated peer workers into the staffing profile. Associate Professor Dark is also Director of the State-wide Deafness and Hard of hearing team and has a particular interest in psychosocial therapies for psychosis that focus on functional improvement. She trains in Cognitive remediation, Cognitive behavioural therapy for psychosis and Social Cognition Interaction Training. Associate Professor Dark’s PhD examines the implementation of cognitive therapies for psychosis.
